About C.School

In 2019, inspired by Stanford D.School and David Kelley & Tom Kelley’s book on Creative Confidence, Paula Beudean, the founder of C.School, had this idea of an initiative for enhancing the creative confidence of people and organizations, especially young people and NGOs from Romania and Europe.

The COVID-19 pandemic happened, then life happened, and she allowed the idea to cook for a while and find the right time and opportunity to initiate it.

On 22 February 2022, the official papers for C.School for Creative Acts Ltd were signed: a new business with a social mission was established to help people unlock their creative potential!

I was the perfect student, the extrovert nerd, and the passionate reader in times when my parents were so proud to hear my teachers telling them how “hardworking” I was. But I was happy whenever my teachers described me as “creative” and “curious.”

Honestly, nothing seemed difficult to me. I rarely said “I don’t know” or “I can’t” because I always knew there was a solution, a way of dealing with anything. Sometimes, I might have been too confident or anxious about not being confident enough. 🙂

For years, sadly, I was harsh on my colleagues at school, at work, and even on my students for saying “I can’t” or being afraid to explore, try new things, and just be curious. All this until I started to deliver social innovation workshops and work with a new skill – creative confidence.

Now, I know that creativity is an ability, and it can be built and strengthened.
